Our seniors celebrating their final divisional race of their careers tonight! HF-L CSD Athletics

Tonight our Varsity B teams shined at the Penfield-Irondequoit Invitational, with both the boys and the girls taking 1st place!

Excellent performances from the team today at the Hilton & RH 2-miler. We had numerous top-10 finishers, plus solid team finishes. The junior and senior boys took 3rd as did the girls, and our frosh/soph girls claimed 2nd. Onto next week!

Some great season ending performances by our sub-varsity athletes at the Monroe County Invitational yesterday!

Top individual finishers were Brennan and Sesnie, placing 6th and 20th in the varsity race yesterday, earning first team All-County. Gruschow also placed 7th in the JV race with a season’s best performance!

Our girls had a phenomenal showing at the Section V Championships, racing to a 2nd Place finish! The team put 3 runners in the top 10 with Brennan, Sesnie, and Williams Sesnie and Brennan will represent the team at NYS Championships next week!

Kate Brennan becomes the 13th individual sectional champion in HFL history, behind her sister Ann in 2021!

The boys had a great day at the Section V Championships, finishing 5th for Class B. Led by junior Drew Larsen who placed 13th in 16:39, the boys ran personal bests across the board. Great season! Thank you seniors Calvin, Henry, Riley, Amer, Matt, and Edward!

Brennan and Sesnie finished 24th and 37th at the NYSPHSAA Championships for Class B! On the challenging course at VVS, Brennan improved on last year’s performance by 14 places and Sesnie had a great State meet debut! HF-L CSD Athletics Section V Athletics

Irene and Kate at the Section V XC All-Star Banquet, where the top 30 boys and girls from sectionals were celebrated. Kate was 1st team All-Section V and Irene was 3rd team. Congratulations! HF-L CSD Athletics

Last nights foggy conditions at Bristol made for some great photos. HFL boys secured another league win, while the girls were 2nd to Sutherland. Sectionals only a couple weeks away!

Our girls’ team skied outstanding in the Sectional distance race today! Our team was led by a top 4 group of J. Lawrence (3rd), K. Brennan (5th), H. Jokl (7th), and E. Lawrence (10th), who each qualified for the NYS Championship! HF-L CSD Athletics

The boys are Section V Champions! Our girls finished second behind a strong Sutherland team. D. Larsen and J Lawrence both won the Ruth Hayes Award for their combined performance from both days! 10 athletes advance to NYS Championship in Lake Placid. HF-L CSD Athletics

Yesterday we concluded a great season. Ultimately, the boys finished second in NY to a strong Queensbury team. Medalists from the distance race include Drew Larsen and Jenna Lawrence. Riley Cushman also earned a medal as part of the Section V relay team. HF-L CSD Athletics
