What an absolute failure for our kids.

Thankful to Saadiq Sumar (he/him), Marcia Hole, and Trisha Estabrooks (she/her) for delivering the passion and care we need. I wish I could have voted alongside you.

I know that saying “I’m disappointed” are not strong enough words to describe what the Government of Alberta did to democracy today. Local autonomy is about to be shoved out the door. They want local governments to be an extension of the Premier’s rule. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly.

It’s never been more clear that the UCP is not for the future of Alberta, they are for the future of themselves.

Hey Justin Trudeau apparently Danielle is totally fine with government oversight now lolz so you can make your own version of Bill 20 and have the authority to repeal/amend Alberta laws and repeal MLAs… woot!

Youth sports teams still ask for volunteer and uniform deposits in cheque form. It's 2024. Parents under the age of 40 do not have cheques, just like we don't have printers.

'She also went out of her way to attend meetings, ask questions...'
So, what you have described is a very dedicated & passionate City Councillor. Disappointed to again see that BIPOC women in politics are held to different standards.

The City is affected by the same inflationary measures. For the average homeowner, this is an extra $65 for every $100k of assessed home value.

Our City is suffering. It is not the time to divest, it’s already operating on a bare bone budget.

That moment when you realize someone would rather protect their parking spots than make space for you to afford a home in their neighbourhood.

As a PhD who has researched my little face off and filled out more grant applications than I can count, this is horrifying to me... I can't even describe how dangerous this is to academic freedom and the amazing research happening in Alberta.

For those in the back: if your loyalty to this country depends on the capital gains inclusion rate — one that’s still lower than it was in the 1980s and 1990s — then you were never loyal to it in the first place.

I have a prediction that Jungle will play folk fest on Friday night and it’s based on no substance other than they have time to do it before they head to Victoria BC and I REALLY hope I’m right 🤩

Interesting research from my University of Alberta colleagues via Common Ground.

Public support for supervised consumption services is relatively stable in Alberta (has hovered ~ 50% since 2020). Yet most Albertans dramatically underestimate this level of support.

thinking you are a silent, meek online person always ‘turning the other cheek’ when actually you’re one of the biggest public commentators/disturbers on this app is so priceless.
