I’m not bothered by the invention of a same-sex relationship for Mary, though so far I don’t think it’s been handled particularly well. The characterization of George, on the other hand, is baffling. What’s the point of telling historical stories that take such liberties?

Our final speaker on the panel is abbi mitchell from the University of Southampton discussing the evidence from the Tendring hundred of investigation of the accused witches and using this to explore speculative ideas about witches queer identities.
