Reddit communities banning people for checking facts with ChatGPT now. (was just banned from r/emulation). Can't imagine reddit surviving for more than a couple of years more if they continue ignoring AI. Opportunity for AI version of reddit with AI mods.

Everything created digitally is dropping in quality considerably. AI will find the exact lowest bar of quality acceptable. There is nothing that can be done to stop it in the short to middle term. Long term a niche will be carved out for art, similar to hand made spoons today.

One interesting aspect on this type of value. If nvidia had a nuke dropped on it today, a few years down the line another company would have recreated the lost technology. There is no really secret sauce there, just a well made software ecosystem.

There is a very large amount of classes to take for teaching children to swim, starting from year 0, yet none of them appear to actually teach swimming until the child is around 5 years old.

There is an interesting method by which modern world view remains the mainstream one. Everyone involved strongly refuse to defend what they believe, even going so far as to never mention areas of intellectual inquiry or debate.

nerds: "i hate smalltalk. why can't people just talk about interesting things without doing smalltalk first?" also nerds: "no, see, it makes perfect sense. the modems have to introduce each other and then negotiate power levels, and see if they can understand each other."

Definitions of communism are pretty universally bad due to obvious incoherence My best attempt at it (in terms of something coherent and actually doable) would be: A form of governance that aims at reducing the influence of nonequal amount of money on the day to day of citizens

People still believe it's doable for a population to have above replacement level fertility and at the same time people start having children at 30+. They also think this is what science claims is possible. People are stupid.

P.D. Mangan Health & Freedom Maximalist 🇺🇸 I think of it in terms of carbs+fat. You dont find that combo in nature very often. there you find pure carbs or protein+fat, not carbs+fat. So your body has various reward functions for finding and saving away any carb+fat food you see so as to store it for later.
