Brilliant to hear "It's lift off for a new science centre and kid's space academy near Ipswich" Kinetic Adventure - sounds fantastic and great re-purposing of building!

Very inspiring and insightful "digital just tickles two of your senses, I can see it, I can hear it...but I cannot really touch it, I cannot smell it". Though must declare a vested interest in silver halide photography and to having worked Kodak!

I've enhanced this remarkable portrait of Sir John Herschel (1792–1871) English astronomer who named 7 moons of Saturn & 4 moons of Uranus (a planet his father discovered). An amazing, characterful face, gazing back from 155 years ago. It was taken in April 1867 by Julia Cameron.

"This treasure trove provides a window into the inner workings of Victorian science. It’s like having your ear at the door of scientists at work, hearing whispers of science quite literally in the making,” said Royal Society historian Louisiane Ferlier. makingscience.royalsociety.org/items/hs/corre…
