When we say "crime is a social construct", what we mean is that you, as an individual, can go to jail for littering, but a corporation can poison the air, the soil, and the water of an entire town, and no one will go to jail.

Corporations want the advantages that come with "personhood", like being able to bribe and lobby politicians, but they don't want the responsibilities of personhood, like being held accountable for crimes.
