U.S. Marine Corps Private First Class Dennis Gerard Murphy selflessly sacrificed his life in the service of our country on June 18, 1969 in Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam. For his extraordinary heroism & bravery that day, Dennis was awarded the Silver Star. He was 18 years old
