We've had another great opportunity this year to be able to support local talent. King's Lynn Speedway are a great top league team and im very much looking forward to the new networking opportunities that will arise from being heat sponsor πŸ’ͺπŸ‘Š Bring on the 2025 season πŸ™Œ

Our current project requires a number of new panes to be replaced. Here's a throwback to a previous project where I visited a reclamation yard and purchased a number of old rotten sashes. Woodword was shot, but the old wavey glass was perfect for my project πŸ‘Œ

Part 2 of our current sash window #restoration. This one was a little more work than expected and have used a fair bit more Resin than I'd have liked, but the end result will be great. #resin #workshop #repair #heritage #window #worklife #foryou #followers #diy #trade #project

The glass I use is from reclaimed units. As the glass was produced differently to modern day float, it has a wavey appearance that is all important when restoring listed property windows. This wasn't too much of an issue, as I was able to nibble the edge for a better fit.

We always try to #reclaim as much of the #original Cylinder Blown Sheet #Glass as we can. This 1 unit will be #remade in #Sapele #Hardwood and re glazed using as much of the original glass as we were able to #salvage #followers #heritage #window #restoration #DIY #project

What a superb day yesterday with Team AB Racing. Excellent riding from not only britains best Rising Star 'Ashton', but the Tigers team as a whole were victorious over the Scunthorpe Scorpions. What a buzz!!

I had another old unit sitting in the workshop that I'd removed from another job, luckily the profile of the bottom rail was exactly the same, just a little longer. I was able to clean it up and cut it to length, allowing for a mortise and tenon joint on either end.

A little update on the current project. I'd always prefer to splice in new timber sections, but when the windows are modern and the job needs to be quick and easy, it's 2pk resin all the way πŸ€™
