Week at a Glance: January 18-23

Due to issues with our gym, tonight's basketball games vs Fairfield have been moved to Fairfield HS. If you already purchased a ticket bring it with you & you won't need to purchase another one. If you haven't purchased your ticket you will be able to pay at the gym in Fairfield.

A big thank you to @fairfield_hs for their hospitality in hosting our 🏀games last night. We truly appreciate the efforts of Coach Bachtel, Mrs. Gibson, concessions, gate workers, & maintenance/custodial staff. It was short notice but they pulled it off without a glitch.

The JV Girls🏀game vs Franklin on Tue, Jan 26 has been cancelled. The JV Boys will now play at 5 pm, followed by the varsity girls at approx 6:30 pm. The varsity boys will tipoff at approximately 7:45 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at buffaloisd.net/athletics

Sr QB Brett Hoffman was recognized tonight at the 2021 Built Ford Tough Virtual Player Of The Year Banquet live stream event. Brett had a tremendous season & outstanding career at Buffalo HS. It was great to see him honored for his accomplishments. Congratulations, Brett! #BFND

Due to a shortage of umpires (basketball and COVID) we had to cancel the softball scrimmage for tonight. The Lady Bison will open the season next Tuesday, February 16th, at Mexia.

I'm not a meteorologist but I advise being prepared for bad weather 🌨❄️and several adjustments this week. 😉 We will do our best to communicate changes as soon as they are necessary.

UPDATE: Week at a Glance for February 22-27, 2021. We have scheduled a JV home baseball game for Friday and also a doubleheader for the JV on Saturday at Corsicana.

Congratulations to Eric Beshears, Kyle Harrison, Brett Hoffman, and Jordan Rogers for being named to the 2020 Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A All State Team. What an honor for these young men. Bison Fight Never Dies! #BFND

🌧️⛈️ Due to potential inclement weather all after school JH track practices for today have been cancelled.  JH girls dismissed from UJH @ end of 8th period and JH boys dismissed from the Field House @ end of 8th.  There will be no JH activities after school today.

Competitive day for our athletes today. JV baseball opened district play with a solid victory over Fairfield while the varsity battled but came up short 4-3. Lady Bison softball improved to 2-0 in district with a convincing 12-2 victory over Elkhart. #BFND
