AI really is the modern day solution to the trolley problem. Why choose whether or not to pull the lever when you can just connect it to ChatGPT and pretend you’re blameless for its decision

Anything that requires 100% accuracy cannot be automated with language models because they are stochastic. They have randomness built in. Automation in many spaces might use machine learning, but it will not use LLMs (which is what everyone means when they say AI).

This means our democracies are cosmetic, not real. This means our rule of law is selective & superficial, not real. This means we "Westerners" are living in a superficial, dangerous illusion. We think we are safe & reasonable: in fact we are dangerous & irrational. 3/
