Hemlock 1st graders are learning about the contemporary Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama. They studied her sculpture series "Flowers That Bloom At Midnight" and recreated them as drawings. Students used neon oil pastels and a blacklight to create a glowing effect Audrey Bellovin

The kindergartners had so much fun practicing their rhyming with Ms. Klein and Ms. Rance! What a creative way to get children involved! Drive through speech and stickers during recess. Fun times!
