Just remember what Chris Hipkins said about the Regulatory Standards Bill earlier this year. Labour will repeal it within their first hundred days of taking office.

Given the Regulatory Standards Bill could plausibly be argued to remove te Tiriti from governance, would it not be reasonable for the Governor General to step in to stop such an action due to its existential threat to the treaty between Crown and Māori that allows them to govern?

What worries me most about Chris Bishop’s pissed public display is how many liberals fail to see it’s totally on brand. Not a slipup, not a fall from grace.
