Steve Howell Under Corbyn LP leadership Starmer received 41k343 in 2017, but under Starmer's LP leadership 2024 received 18k884. The vote didn't go up nationally either it reduced. Therefore Torys lost election, LP under Starmer was not indorced, but won by default in a 2 party system.
