Hard to say whether #turf was truly the culprit for Sterling Shepard ACL injury, but our data are convincing. Higher injury rate on artificial #turf than natural #grass for knee in 🏈 and foot/ankle in both 🏈 & ⚽️. Time for a policy change? pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35593739/

Lots of speculation surrounding Tua. T 🇦🇸 regarding the potential effect of #turf on head injury. Would proceed with caution… Although #turf does appear to increase lower extremity injury rates, some data to suggest the opposite may be true for concussion. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32518672/

NSAIDs do not affect healing rate after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, but they do significantly improve postoperative pain and functional outcomes. No significant difference was seen in pain or functional outcomes with the use of COX-2 inhibitors. #NSAIDs #Rotatorcuff
