The new WPFD hierarchy was made official this week as Ken Monden (left) is the new station chief and Mike Montgomery is the new deputy station chief in Mitchell. Both men began with the WPFD in June of 2007. Congrats!

All week long we will be sending shout outs to our dispatchers, the voices behind the scenes, as we celebrate National Telecommunicators Week. These unseen heroes are the people you speak to when you call us in your darkest hour or if you just do not know where else to turn.

Stratford Police currently has 12 dispatchers. As the week goes on and they come in for their shifts we will continue to recognize them for their amazing work. They are your first responder and often times stay with you on the line until police can arrive on scene. Thank you 📷

Our dispatchers are effective communicators, organized, can remain calm during stressful situations, have superior multi-tasking skills, are resourceful and reliable. They make this incredibly difficult job look easy. Thank you! 📷
