Völuspá is a mythological poem featuring the words of an undead seeress summoned by Odin. The seeress provides an account of the creation of the world, the pre-history of gods and men, the Æsir–Vanir War, and of Ragnarok.

This spindle whorl (used in weaving) was excavated Iceland in 2009. It is inscribed with runes which state the name of a woman showing that runes were used as a legitimate form of writing. An awesome find to be sure! #Heathen #TheHeathenConfederation #Asatru #Vikings #Norse

The Great Lacuna is a gap of eight leaves in the Codex Regius. The missing pieces would have contained the last part of Sigrdrífumál and most of Sigurðarkviða, which probably would have run to 250 stanzas instead of 22.
