Deeply saddened to hear of so many redundancies at Butterfly Conservation 🦋, most in front line butterfly+moth conservation. A huge loss of expertise just when needed. Also cessation of international work. Let’s hope their finances recover soon when so many species are in dire trouble
Thousands of Garden Tiger moth caterpillars at Spurn Head Yorkshire - never seen so many - everywhere up trees and on the beach. Also Brown- tail and Oak Eggar . Derek Parkinson

This is an historic photo. Congratulations to William Brame (who took the photo) for realising this was a different white butterfly. Now confirmed by Chris van Swaay as a Southern Small White - the first seen in England. As it is a female let's hope it has been laying eggs.
