There is no better time than now, this very #Christmas season, to rededicate ourselves to the principles taught by Jesus the Christ. It is always the right time to love the Lord our God with all our heart, and our neighbors as ourselves.

To set our house in an order pleasing to the Lord, we need to do it His way. We are to employ His attributes of "righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness."

Keep your eyes on your dreams, however distant and far away. Live to see the miracles of repentance and forgiveness, of trust and divine love that will transform your life today, tomorrow, and forever. That is a New Year’s resolution I ask you to keep.

Today, we commemorate the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Book of Mormon teaches that “black and white, bond and free, male and female . . . all are alike unto God.” May God continue to bless us as we labor together to abandon attitudes and actions of prejudice.

The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.

To help another human being reach one's celestial potential is part of the divine mission of woman. As mother, teacher, or nurturing saint, she molds living clay to the shape of her hopes. In partnership with God, her divine mission is to help spirits live and souls be lifted.

Members of the Church understand the Lord's law of the fast. They go without food on fast day once a month. Funds they would have spent on themselves are donated as fast offerings to help the poor and the needy.

Simply said, a place of security is anywhere you can feel the presence of the Holy Ghost and be guided by Him. When the Holy Ghost is with you, you can teach truth, even when it runs counter to prevailing opinions.

Imagine how quickly the devastating conflicts throughout the world—and those in our individual lives—would be resolved if we all chose to follow Jesus Christ and heed His teachings.

I assure you that the joy, love, and fulfillment experienced in loving, righteous families produce both peace and happiness. Love and kindness are at the center of developing our hearts and homes.

While some others choose which commandments they will keep, you know the fallacy and danger of this approach. It will only lead to misery. You will gain protection and spiritual strength in complete obedience.

We cannot lose our love for and hope in Jesus, even if we face seemingly overwhelming challenges. Heavenly Father and Jesus will never forget us. They love us.
