Stonemasons Cottage- restoration project. This lump of sandstone (58x35x 17cm) was in a sorry state after being hammered by Borders weather for decades. Ended up chiselling loads from surface, recarving the lot while retaining the quirky lettering and the serpent/beast/foliage.

Some of my new work is featured in this exhibition, along with Rachel Hunter. It's at Trimontium Museum, Melrose, runs for three months, open 7 days (1000 til 1630) and there's free entry to the exhibition.

Protection bindrune stone (9.5 x 9 x 3 cm). Hand carved from an East Lothian sea-stone. Finished with Goldfarben liquid gold-leaf ('Craig's Gold').

First of 2 exclusive designs for Rathcroghan Visitor Centre (Co Roscommon, Ireland). ‘Comhrac na dTarbh’ inspired by battle between Fionnbennach (white horned bull of Connacht) and Donn Cuailnge (Brown Bull of Cooley) that takes place at end of the Irish epic, Táin Bó Cúailnge.

Cat bindrune memorials- each stone marking spot where ashes of 4 cats lie buried. Names translated into corresponding runes, then I made the bindrunes. Carved from sea-worn stones from East Lothian (approx 9 cm high), finished with metallic copper '1-Shot' enamel.

'Artefact III' (25 x 25 cm, sold). Another piece from the summer Trimontium Museum exhibition. 15 cm piece of slate V-cut with cup-and-ring marks, purposely destroyed, edges polished and shadow-mounted in a deep, pure white box frame to mimic a museum artefact.

Large serpentine protection bindrune stone with gold leaf. Hand carved and hand polished from a beautiful piece of red/black/green serpentine weighing around 1.2 Kg (13.5 x 9.5 x 5 cm) and finished with Goldfarben 'Craigs Gold Leaf'. Available now- see link in profile.

Second of exclusive card designs for Rathcroghan Visitor Centre. 'Ros Comáin san Iarannaois' (Iron Age Roscommon) is based on the Castlestrange Stone and the Knock gold torc. Surrounding this is the Ogham script from a roof lintel found in Oweynagat Cave (Cave of the Cats).

Element stones. Earth stone (green enamel)- East Lothian. Air stone (liquid gold leaf)- Dorset. Fire stone (red enamel)- serpentine from Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall. Water stone (blue enamel)- SW Cornwall. Each wrapped in cloth with waxed cord, contained in a handmade jute bag.

Protection bindrune pendant. Smallest hammer/chisel carvings I've done (2.5 cm high)! Made from stone gathered on night of the Wolf Moon at confluence of 2 Scottish Borders rivers. With solid copper jump ring, waxed cotton cord, finished with metallic copper signwriters enamel.

Carved slate dragonfly (14 x 9.5 x 1 cm) finished with Goldfarben liquid gold leaf. A present for my sister-in-law....but I made a mould of this and have been producing cold-cast bronze replicas...

I have a pop-up shop at Leith Makers (105 Leith Walk, EH6 8NP) this Sat and Sun (7th and 8th of Dec) from 11am til 5:30 pm both days. Leith Creative Trail is also on, so lots of festive markets, open studios, etc.
