So, I have been mostly on a plant-based diet that started earlier this week. Today I cheated a little bit and added some pollock. However, the vegetarian food has been sitting well with me. Those are lentil noodles, spicy brussels sprouts and a red bean and mushroom mix. Sautéed.

Worked a little bit more on the knife. Handle is now finish sanded, but hasn’t been oiled yet. I’m still waiting on the pommel, which I have to glue in, before I can put any oil on the wood. After polishing the blade, the raindrop Damascus stands out.

Just had a wonderful evening with my two favorite girls. Lots of laughing and story telling. Now I’m going to make a bonfire to round out the evening with more good company and a scotch in hand. Life is good.

So here is some ripe plantain that are fried in some spicy olive oil with butter and molasses. I know my south American friends don’t necessarily approve of this Sweet fixing of plantain, but I do like it.

At Jekyll Island, Atlanta Airport, international terminal. I really thought this was a restaurant. But it’s actually a fast food place. You order via code, which did not work. You don’t get your food without hunting for it and then it arrives in disposable containers.
