A result of great collaboration with some very great scientists NASA DTU Space @LaurencePadman UNIS. More to come in the not so distant future. We will present and discuss this on Sunday at #IUGG2023 in Berlin. Please come have a chat!

Tomorrow I will be at #IUGG23 in the Tides session from 08h30 until 18h30 for both oral and poster presentations. Come by my poster to see our poster on our effort to produce a dataset of in-situ measurements in the Arctic Ocean tides. Sneak peak attached.

New regional Empirical Ocean Tide model for the North European Continental Shelf and #NorthSea (EOT-NECS) from 30 years of #altimetry data is available. It was successfully used to force the @Deltares operational forecast model and resulted in improved water level predictions:

Nice bit of work on Polar Ocean Tides that I was fortunate to contribute to, led by DTU Space's Ole Andersen and Stine Rose. Tides in the Polar regions are very exciting and we are starting to understand them more and more thanks largely to Cryosat-2. See mdpi.com/2072-4292/15/1…

We have developed a probabilistic reconstruction of vertical land motion (VLM) from 1995 to 2020, which reveals the effects of spatially and temporally varying vertical land motion on relative sea level on a global scale (nature.com/articles/s4156…).

Our recent results from the SWOT satellite! An exciting dataset to explore and we are advancing our understanding of ocean surface dynamics daily thanks to this satellite. The future is bright!
