Bespoke part to rebuild classic Yamaha 2 stroke GP Ohlins shock. The cylinder head isn't available, the customer wanted authentic, we machined from solid aluminium to replicate the original. This will be used with other parts to build a replica shock as part of the restoration.

For this project the customer wanted a wider rear wheel, to accommodate the chain-line Harris had to dissemble the frame and reassemble with the L/H side frame widened.

Looking for new processes to improve quality & leadtime on components, this week we successfully trialled a new press tool made using our 3D Rapid Prototyping machine. The tool performed exceptionally well and not only saves time but also frees up our CNC machining facility.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Steve Harris, he had bravely lived with Parkinson’s for a few years. On Wednesday 15th June, Steve drifted away peacefully. Our condolences and thoughts are with Steve’s family, friends and colleagues at this time
