Superb Long Man walk led by Martin Bell for @sussex_society. Jury still out regarding how old the Long Man is but the tree in the graveyard of the church in Wilmington is about 1600 years old…amazing.

Caravaggio's Madonna of the Pilgrims outside of its setting w conservators on hand to answer questions. Q: why does the blue drape look degraded? He mixed too much oil with his combo of black paint and thin layer of azurite blue creating a structural problem. On view til Sept 3.
