So many of you love how the bookcase analogy helps to explain how a person’s memory may be affected by dementia, and how by embracing their own reality we can do things to better support them. 📚Share this tweet & help others learn more about dementia: bit.ly/38m8HiF

It's not just elderly people who are diagnosed with #dementia. A new film released portrays the story of a man who has been diagnosed with #youngonsetdememtia

Ahead of the #Euro2020 final tonight (nervous yet England fans?) here's one of our favourite football memories. The team victorious in 1966 with their song 'We Were There' released in 2016, raising vital funds for dementia research. We will protect precious memories like this. ⚽

Being able to travel by public transport can be a key factor in helping those with dementia retain their independence. We can all help by making it easier for someone to board, being patient while they find their bus pass or ticket and not pushing past.

Running Meaningful Care Matters training today on the mealtime experience in #carehomes Always amazed by the amount of debate about having condiments on tables for people with #dementia Lots of imagined risks. 😣 How do we address these fears to support people to enjoy these?

Understanding how #dementia is different from natural old age can really help you or your family members spot signs of dementia early.

We encourage anyone who knows someone with dementia to continue to keep in contact, whether that’s by paying a visit or making regular phone calls. There is so much more to a person than their dementia, and regular contact can do so much to help someone feel less alone.
