Meaningful Care Matters I love to leave a wide selection of books and magazines about, to tickle everyone's taste but also to pique curiousity. I've cared for people who just like the reassuring feel of having a book too!

These findings are the essence of a Meaningful Care Matters home. Small households of ‘family members’ (not residents) with no institutional hangovers like staff uniforms, med trolleys or supervised meal times. Everyone lives and works together as a family. 🤗

Have we taken the time to find out what books might be familiar or precious to people, whether it's a religious book, a recipe book or a favourite novel? What about creating a regular book group to read aloud to each other, or talk about books we've enjoyed?
