More of our pupils taking part in Lockdown Expeditions this weekend. Good luck and have fun!

We're delighted at how Harlaw Academy pupils embraced their Lockdown Expeditions. Part of their challenge was to walk or run 5km. One group took it one step further and each team member walked a route in the shape of one letter to spell their current level.. SILVER!

It is with great sadness that we heard of the death of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, hundreds of our pupils have benefited from participating in the DofE Award Scheme. A few years ago 10 of our pupils had the privilege of speaking with him at their Gold Award Presentation.

Well done to our 20 pupils who successfully completed their Silver Expedition. They all coped with the midges and a lot of rain during both their practice and actual expeditions. 🏕🥾👏🎉

Another successful weekend for our 3 S4 Bronze groups who completed their qualifying expedition. Well Done to you all Harlaw Academy

We're very proud of our S6 pupils completing their Bronze expedition which they were all set to do before covid. A great example of determination. Isla will certainly remember her 17th birthday waking up in a tent, birthday cake for breakfast and a wave from King Charles

Well that's the end of our expedition season and it's been really nice bumping into some familiar faces on our travels MrsCoops01 @FionaLawrenceSG and Miss Lawson (an old PE teacher). All 3 ladies commented on how friendly and well mannered our pupils are.

It's always a great pleasure to send a DofE Award for approval. However sending off a Gold Award for a former pupil whose DofE journey was interupted by Covid and moving away to uni felt very special. Well done Gemma, Harlaw Academy is very proud of you and your commitment
