Together with 🇪🇺 and like-minded missions we visited Khashm al Karem school in the #SouthHebronHills today. Funded by the West Bank Protection Consortium, the school is under the immediate risk of demolition. #Education is a Human Right that has to be respected also in #AreaC.

A few quick comments on this: 1) Anyone framing this as a US diplomatic success is taking a very narrow & biased lens. This is the US arm-twisting Palestinians to shelve entirely legitimate resolution, sidelining UNSC as guardian of int'l order & shielding Israel's expansionism.

This is the Israeli government minister who was just given primary authority over the occupied West Bank calling for a Palestinian village in that territory to be “wiped out.” This is incitement to a crime against humanity, full stop.

Minister Smotrich‘s remarks were wrong, incendiary & dangerous. We welcome the clarification of Tzachi Hanegbi • צחי הנגבי. But it is not only Jordan‘s territorial integrity which must be respected. Identity and rights of the Palestinian people are also guaranteed in international law.

Together w/ other members of the West Bank Protection Consortium we visited Jubbet adh Dhib close to #Bethlehem in Area C where a school for 66 children is at risk of demolition as 1 out of 58 in the WB, incl. East Jerusalem. Every child needs safe and quality #education!

Heute, am 02.03.2025, wird die Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung 💯 Jahre alt! Nach Eberts Tod am 28.02.1925 bat der #SPD-Vorstand statt um Kranzspenden um Unterstützung zur Gründung einer Stiftung. #Ebert hatte dies noch vor seinem Tod angeregt. #FES100 (1/5)
