i feel like the expectation that all online shopping should come with free shipping and returns has been partly shaped by the rise of amazon, which was able to do so by squeezing labor. it's a difficult thing for small retailers, esp as online shoppers have high return rates

We’ve found ourselves in the same situation lol, this time at least it’s nice enough that we could spend some time outside but we went to the nearest library branch when our phones started to die and we needed to refill our water bottles

I have switched back to an office position (2 hours ago) after 3 months of being public facing with lots of coworkers and patrons to chat with and I already feel myself going crazy not talking to anyone…I am that annoying coworker wfh people don’t like

Anyone remember a few years ago when McDonald’s started giving out books instead of toys and in the commercial the worker says “you don’t have to return it, this isn’t a library”? The librarians at my work definitely remember. And they’re still pissed about it
