I prefer term 'former drug user' it carries less stigma. But this case highlights that even after serving your time, people can pay consequences for their whole lives. Lots of reform required. Congrats James Leonard on all your achievements

Seeing so many of these young people in homeless services every day is heartbreaking. They do not magically develop the ability to support themselves on their 18th birthday.

For the first time in the State we have people who enter homelessness with no addiction issues, but develop substance dependence in homelessness as a result of the misery & trauma of having no home. Can we talk about failed housing policy & its impact on increased addiction.
