Great to hear Tom Copley asserting a priority on homelessness: “we need to do everything we can to prevent homelessness and when it does occur, ensure that it is rare, brief and non recurring” 👌👌

Really proud to have worked on this campaign with a great team. Still lots of work to come through the 18 month implementation period. Real opportunity for policy and practice to work hand in hand 👏👏

Yesterday MPs from all parties spoke out against Gov plans to criminalise rough sleeping by the back door. No one should be punished for being homeless. These laws must be removed. We're grateful to see such a strong message from MPs for people to be supported not criminalised.

open.spotify.com/episode/1EDVxh… I didn't realise that schools in London went to Jamaica to recruit teachers because of a shortage of teachers in the UK - something to bear in mind when people try and blame the housing crisis on migration.

This podcast is a stark reminder that homelessness is the result of government policy, and could be ended by government policy. Namely, but not limited to: building more social homes.
