Zero-shot forecasting of chaotic systems. Yuanzhao Zhang 章元肇 and my new preprint shows that if you give a pre-trained ML model a bunch of observations of chaos, the model spontaneously produces good predictions---even without having been trained on the system arxiv.org/abs/2409.15771
