A team led by Hallou Lab has built a method to decode how mechanical force and gene expression join together to precisely control cell fate! This method could have exciting implications for diagnosis and treatment strategies and regenerative medicine. kennedy.ox.ac.uk/news/decoding-…

🚨 Paper Alert 🚨 Absolutely delighted to share our last paper on "spatial mechano-transcriptomics" in Nature Methods👇!! nature.com/articles/s4159…

Very cool work on linking the transcriptome to cell mechanical forces by bianca dumitrascu & colleagues.

(1/n) The first preprint from our lab is now out in Nature Genetics! We tried to tackle a key challenge in spatial biology to quantitatively characterizing cellular niches by learning spatial gene programs using NicheCompas led by Sebastian Birk. Paper: shorturl.at/b4Hjk

Thank you Nature Methods for highlighting our recent paper on "spatial mechano-transcriptomics" in your April issue😀: nature.com/articles/s4159… nature.com/articles/s4159…

Check out our perspective on how multimodal foundation models can accelerate discovery in biology and medicine in nature . Link to the paper: nature.com/articles/s4158… Fun write-up with Bo Wang @HOATIANCUI1 Fabian Theis Alejandro Tejada Lapuerta Julio Saez-Rodriguez Simona Cristea Hani Goodarzi

Thank you for the invitation Sarah Snelling Human Cell Atlas and very much looking forward to it 😀!!

In developing embryos, cells move a lot! Plenty of that movement is random. Is random cell mixing a feature or bug for tissue patterning? Turns out it’s both! Excited to share the 1st preprint from my postdoc w/ Sean Megason Sean McGeary Allon Klein Lab 1/20 doi.org/10.1101/2025.0…
