#SepTimber retrofit case study of Lower James Street: Winner of an AJ Retrofit Award in 2018, extending an existing Grade II listed building with a loadbearing CLT mansard. Innovative resin dowelled connections by contractor Eurban made the exposed double crank possible (1/3)

& discreet connections to the existing historic beams and masonry walls were developed by HTS to give a seamless finish. Treating the structure as joinery HaleBrown Architects proposed recessed lighting strips into the CLT to create a beautiful feature, (2/3) #SepTimber
