I totally agree with this. I've been bootstrapping my business for 5 whole years although I have excellent credit and I too cannot get a business loan because of the color of my skin. I couldn't buy a house or an apartment in DC because of the redlining and the color of my skin.

I've been asked to eulogize a funeral for a friend. This is the second one. The first was my friend Sheri Spruill and now the second will be Mary Wencil who passed on Monday, May 19, 2025 and is the mother of Marie Ellis a former Social Worker for Child and Family Services.

On Friday, June 6, 2025, I eulogized a friend's mother's memorial service. RIP Ms. Mary Wencil.
