Waiting for someone to act correctly is a trauma response. Youโre self-sabotaging and denying parts of yourself just to keep the peace. That's the result of patterns set up in childhood where we learnt that our needs are not valid, so we disconnect from our needs and our essence.
Rest is not a reward. Rest is something you're inherently worthy of. It is as essential as food/water. It makes you better at everything else. There's no shame in resting, meditating, going for a walk, or watching a little Netflix. Allow yourself to relax, refresh, and recharge.
It's okay if you're becoming distant. You have to be there for yourself now. Remain committed to your success. Be loyal to your dreams. Putting yourself first doesn't mean you are selfish. It means you're smart enough to know that you canโt help others if you don't help yourself.
