A good thread summarizing needed changes in mental health. Access is key and we do need to expand models of care. A large majority of BIPOC folx in need do not receive care. We need to keep asking: how do we change what we do to fundamentally improve reach and equity?

Very enlightening exchange that points our a reason why we wind up with massive access inequalities. Maybe the pandemic can paradoxically help shift some of that?

Congrats to Laura Acosta on her recently funded F31 (NRSA) from NIH! She will study how discrimination affects help seeking for drug use. Well deserved and very exciting!!

Also, thanks to @RDARCenter for providing so much support for the fellowship! Looking forward to continuing our work together with the center and having Laura be a larger part of that.

It's been a while, but our article on Written Exposure Therapy with Latinx immigrants is finally out in Cognitive and Behavior Therapy! Short version: it worked, but we need better ways of delivering these treatments authors.elsevier.com/a/1dOuF3r2xhtr…

Love the coverage of a friend of the lab and collaborator! We've been honored to lead the Spanish language adaptation that will hopefully be out in the near future! This has been years in the making and we're happy to be able to play a part
