📢 From Dec 5–10, Center for Justice, in collaboration with PRSF and the French Embassy, organized a training to strengthen the capacity of prison staff at Ambo, Sheger, Hawassa, and Jimma prison centers. The sessions were delivered by PRSF experts Giacinto Colombo and Pere Dia.

Prison commissioners from all regions and the Federal Prison Commission participated. CJ, MoJ, and federal officials highlighted the shift toward rehabilitation, reintegration, and standardization. The workshop included discussions, detailed presentations, and a way forward.

On Jan 3, 2025, CJ, in collaboration with the MoJ and with financial support of CRD, held a Validation Workshop on the Assessment of Prison Standardization in Ethiopia. The workshop aimed to validate findings, agree on next steps, and align stakeholders on implementation roles.

CJ organized a consultation forum to gather input from regional implementing institutions on the draft of the 3rd National Human Rights Action Plan (2026–2030), in collaboration with the MoJ, from January 21–22, 2026.
