Technical question for robotic surgeons: If the black mark on the 'bariatric' trocar is at the same distance from the proximal end as it is on a 'regular' trocar, then won't this mean the black mark isn't at the fascial level (which is where we want it to be)? (1/2)

27 year old surgical resident Hugh Hampton Young is approached in the hallway by Halsted and informed that he would be in charge of the new Department of Genitourinary Surgery. Young would later build the template for urology training in the US and found the Journal of Urology.

In the early 1920's, aspiring neurosurgeon Frederic Foley is discouraged by Harvey Cushing's input and diverts into urology. In 1929 he described the first version of what became the Foley catheter. He fails to patent it, and the patent is later taken by the Davol Company.
