We're happy to announce that renowned Russian independent journalist Elena Kostyuchenko will be visiting our campus on March 19th. Elena will present her new book I Love Russia and have a discussion with the UGA community on March 19, 4:00pm, at MLC 148.

Today I met the incredible Russian independent journalist Elena Kostyuchenko. Her powerful story of resilience was featured on this week’s This American Life and her commitment to investigative journalism is so inspiring. Thank you to Elena Kostyuchenko and Germanic & Slavic Studies at UGA !

Thank you to Nils Mohl for the wonderful multi-media presentation and reading he gave last week! Nils Mohl is the German Program's 2024 Max Kade Writer-In-Residence. He is a freelance writer in his home city of Hamburg. He mainly writes for children, adolescents, and teens.

Join us on April 16th in welcoming novelist & screewriter Christopher Kloeble! He will be giving a reading and facilitating discussion in reference to his 2022 book, THE MUSEUM OF THE WORLD. Students encouraged in colonial history and/or storytelling are encouraged to join!

On March 19th, the Germanic & Slavic Studies department co-hosted Russian journalist and activist Elena Kostyuchenko. Students enjoyed a rich discussion with Kostyuchenko and Russian and Slavic Studies faculty member Dr. Sasha Spektor!
