“No one is here to help us.” We hear from some of the people affected by a devastating drought in Somalia where more than 7 million people are facing hunger, a situation made worse by Russia's war in Ukraine ⤵️

GSA has completed two phases of hygiene kits distribution to drought affected communities and newly displaced IDPs in Kismayo District. This intervention goes hand in hand with monthly hygiene promotion activities to the most vulnerable households in target areas.#GSAsomalia🇸🇴

Project update: GSA has completed the construction of 150 latrines for drought affected communities and newly displaced IDPs in Kismayo. Kismayo has been receiving an influx of IDPs who settle in cramped settlements with little sanitation facilities.(📍Goobweyn & Bullobartire 🇸🇴)

In Kismayo, Gurmad for Sustainable Aid has constructed water & sanitation infrastructure near the IDP camps. Somali lifeline Organization conducted regular visits to rural villages, providing healthcare & nutritional aid.
