I ride my bike to work. Sometimes I am the first there. I use these chances to ride around the inside of the factory, in between the machines, as fast as I can. I am 8 years old again and the king of the world.

MAGA keeps defending Trump’s new ballroom with this ‘meme’ showing past presidents and their “White House additions,” conveniently leaving out all context and facts. Let’s fix that. In 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt secured congressional funding for the West Wing in response

If there is a parked car on the pavement I will literally walk over it if I can get up the bumper and onto the bonnet or boot, rather than go around it. If I leave a footprint or a dent, even better. It's a footpath, dickheads, park your car properly and not in my right of way.

Been driving all day (and I strongly dislike driving). If anyone has to use SPO south of 90, don't. Street repairs going on. And I still haven't had time to check my glucose...

I recall one of the pranks in the Re-Search magazine issue of the same name was to use water-based hairspray colors on a surface (on a giant concrete lemon in the story). Something like that might be a quick way to return the rainbow to Taft 😎

Motordom says that planning around cars makes us more productive. Putting aside whether productivity is a good metric for planning infrastructure, there's a point at which costs exceed benefits. Planning for cars at the expense of other modes is great until it's terrible.

Cars are a fantastic invention that opened doors for many people. But car-centric planning eliminates freedom that cars were supposed to deliver. Sprawl infrastructure, for example, stacks and racks you like sheep. The herd has no viable option to driving.

I read somewhere not long ago that in the UK, the % of the population that believes in one or more conspiracies is 25%. The US was mentioned at being 6%. In hard numbers that's 17mil (UK) and 20mil (US). Social media has enabled the kooks more access to each other.

Conservatives always try to state that traffic cameras (speed or traffic signals) are just more surveillance. And then they implement stuff like this: youtube.com/watch?v=jP-kqE…

Had someone tailgating me this evening on S Rice, twice. I am guessing they were the same one when I got to W Bellfort @ Willowbend. Same headlights, same behavior. If only they knew about how traffic lights slow down average speeds...
