My interpretation of the last season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (spoiler alert). The Void represents socialism/communism and a collapse of aesthetics & American conceptions of socializing around labor. The ending says the 1% would rather live in a perpetual bourgeois space than the VOID.

‘Engineers began drilling along our coastlines, their machines spreading like tentacles.’ Today we’re publishing new, mystic sci-fi from MK Harb (grungyflaneur), set in a desert and featuring a ghostly sea. thewhitereview.org/fiction/amwaj/

Happy to share that my short story, Amwaj, is published with the The White Review <3 Amwaj tells the tale of a city in the Arabian Peninsula where the sea disappears and the government pilots a holographic sea engineered by Huawei! Feels eerily close.

"There are some long, languid and even dangerous summers that Beirutis can never forget, and this is one of them." My new short story, The Summer They Heard Music, is out now with The Markaz Review is @markaz-review.bsky.social - thoughts appreciated. themarkaz.org/the-summer-the…

In my latest short story, a man in Beirut claims he is the reincarnation of iconic Egyptian belly dancer, Tahiya Carioca. Malek and Careema join his "dance as healing" classes only to discover things are not what they seem. themarkaz.org/we-danced-a-st… The Markaz Review is @markaz-review.bsky.social

🇱🇧As Beirut faces yet another heartbreaking chapter of war, I wrote a short story about the sweet don't give a fuckness of its people. 🍰💔 The Markaz Review is @markaz-review.bsky.social 📍 Read "The Last Millefeuille in Beirut" here: themarkaz.org/the-last-mille…
