Have you heard the purepleasure reissues of 'Gets next to you' and 'exolores your mind'? Also all analogue and cut from the mastertapes. Sound great. Prefer their 'Gets Next To You' to the VMP edition. But yeah, nothing beats the VMP Call Me 🔥🔥

The tapes used for gets next to you are a bit knackered (mostly title track) but the rest is as good as it gets. I've always found other pressings to sound quite little veiled. You're right re: purepleasure, but when they hit they really do. Their Son House 2LP is incredible

Unless I have the records totally mixed up, I've got a Vinyl Me Please edition. Was also released back in 1997 on Vinyl, and reissued a couple of times since (very, very poorly). The VMP edition is the best I've heard it but the vinyl is noisy unfortunately

Although, yeah I don't think there's a vinyl release with all the extra tracks. Although tbh, its a bloody long album on its own - not sure I could sit through that much!!
