‼️ #SmartContracts - earlier today, the European Parliament’s ITRE Committee, leading the negotiations for the #DataAct, voted on their final version of the regulation. The mention of smart contracts there is important, as it’s the first time they are regulated on an EU level.

Justin Slaughter Do we really need new legislation? I’m not sure. If you understand blockchains produce blocks (not tokens!) then you can easily split crypto between security & “market” tokens. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission handles security tokens. The CFTC can brush up on microeconomics and oversee market token.
