why would you want to learn how to draw from human artists when a Josh Gad talking animatronic can teach you instead

The thing that I liked about the live artist demonstration is that it was patient and simplistic to people that were not skilled at drawing. Having it pre-recorded gives it a time-limit with very little patience and likely will never get updated.

I can’t wait for this Olaf animatronic to break a week after opening :D

I was honestly looking forward to the Animation Experience at Hollywood Studios, but I’m very disappointed now. It’ll still be a good and fun experience. But with no live animator, basic drawings, slapped on Olaf AA, and basic character meet and greets, it feels very bare bones.

Celebrate the art of animation… with prerecorded and non-interactive moments…. Yeah, I’ll just stick to Animation Academy. That is still the GOAT and draws in huge crowds (pun intended) and mixes up what characters you draw!

Last live-animator led Animation Academy standing at Walt Disney World is offered only twice per day at EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts. Will it return next year? Or will the last live-animator led session be at 1:30pm today, the last day of this year’s festival?

Originally I was excited for Olaf but I’m not now. I have made really nice connections with some of the artists from the animation experience. I love how the CMs personalities come through when teaching the drawing class and the interactions they have with guests.

Just thought about this… why don’t they get a artist drawing live with Olaf trying to imitate that drawing and still having a live reaction to the ACTUAL ARTIST creating an experience for guests in the *checks notes* Walt Disney Animation Studios inspired experience 🫡

I literally know so many artists who would’ve loved to do this but alas.
