From the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom #19 (August 1972) comes this ad for the fanzine Nova, a SF, Fantasy, S&S zine from Jim Rehak of Baltimore, MD. Check out that artist line-up: Adams, Fabian, Frazetta, Fujitake, Kirk & Morrow. Pretty nice, wish I owned a copy!

Here is a nice drawing by 60s & 70s fan artist, Ronn Foss, which was published in the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom # 20 (Sept. 1972). It's his fan character; the Viper!

Here is some nifty Frank Brunner art from a Creation Comic Book Show ad for a show scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend, 1972. It appeared in the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom #21. This issue of TBG is dated September 1972.

Here's a funny 1 panel cartoon by Carl Gafford that appeared in the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom # 21 (September 1972) featuring a couple of well know villains created by Jack Kirby, with names slightly changed to protect the cartoonist, I'd imagine!

From the Buyer's Guide #21, dated September 1972, this ad for Bill Schelly"s Sense of Wonder # 12. It features a front cover by Don Newton and additional artwork by Bill Black, Rich Buckler, Will Eisner, R. G. Krenkel & Wally Wood, plus many others! Quite a bargain at 75 cents!

From the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom #22 (October 1972) comes this drawing by fan artist and publisher, Marty Greim. This drawing of DC Comics' Creeper appeared on the classified ad page.

From the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom #23 (October 1972) is this ad for Martin Greim's Comic Crusader #13, featuring art by Jim Steranko, inked by Bill Black, and also art by Steve Ditko! I do have this one in my collection!

Hi all, I'm back with an ad from the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom # 24, dated November 1972. This ad is from Middle Earth, for their Frank Frazetta Portfolio. I believe this became known as Portfolio One. The art of course, is by the great Frank Frazetta!

Time for another blast from the past! Here's ad ad that appeared in the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom # 25, dated November 1972, for Bill Black's Paragon Publications fanzines. Listed in this ad is Paragon #4, as well as 1 & 3 (#2 must have sold out?) and Captain Paragon #1.

Here is an ad that appeared in the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom # 26, dated December 1972. It's for Shazam! The Wonderful World of Comix! brought to us by Neal Pozner. Not sure which issue this is for, maybe the first(?) That's quite an all-star line-up of talent!

Hi all, I'm back with another Buyer's Guide ad. This one is from TBG #28, dated January 1973 and is for Jim Rehak's Nova! Jim was from Baltimore, MD and his fanzine is advertised as 48 pages, plus a glossy cover. I can confirm that, as I've got this one in my collection!

Here's an ad for Mark Wheatley's Nucleus #7, which appeared in the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom #28, dated January 1973. A lot of talent in this issue, as you can see from the ad. This fanzine also included the Fandom Stranger insert by Alan Jim Hanley!

Here's an ad I think is particularly cool. It's for the very first issue of Contemporary Pictorial Literature, or CPL, as it is/was commonly known. It was published by future pro Bob Layton and it comes from the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom # 28, dated January 1973.

Here is an ad for Bill Schelly's Sense of Wonder fanzine, issue #12 that appeared in the Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom #32, dated March 1973. I believe it is the final issue of this fanzine. I have a copy in my collection.

Here is an ad for a comic book con in Southfield, MI that took place in May 1978. I suspect that I attended this con. The ad ran in a Buyer's Guide issue a month or two before the con. I saved it because of the Mike Vosburg Captain America artwork!

Here is On the Drawing Board Vol 2 #10/Comic Reader #57, published in February 1967 by Robert Schoenfeld. The cover is drawn by Jim Sullivan and it's one of the best fan drawn Batman illustrations ever published in a fan publication, at least in my opinion!
