I think it's really important that we agree on basic shared principles, but this is historically illiterate.

Putting ideologies momentarily aside, one major difference between the far right and far left is that the far right is like, 'We've got zip ties and assault rifles' and the far left is like, 'We forgot to bring snacks.'

Senators, especially Christians, should be asked who they think we should welcome as refugees. It's not an easy question, easier to demagogue from the left or the right, but hard decisions are what we elect senators for.
