A polite request to any homeowner planning extension work: please do consider designing-in e.g. bird boxes, bee bricks, bat boxes. The expense of such integrated features should be slight against the overall investment &, when there is success, you have great satisfaction & joy!

Someone remind me again WHY we should be removing these from our lawns & verges? Please tag your local council & ask them NOT to mow these vital sources of food for many insects like this #bee. Let’s hear it for the beautiful #wildflowers that are #Dandelions 🐝 Dandelion Appreciation Society

Spring is on its way and now is a good time to start planning your garden! Don’t leave it too late and get in touch to see how I can help with garden design, new planting schemes, makeovers or just a tidy up. 🍃🌱🌿🍃🌱🎋🪴☘️🌿🌱#walthamstow #highamspark #chingford #leyton

Leyton Mills shopping centre, where every tree has its own extinction carpet. No water will get through this. What. Is. Going. On?? #ToxicTurf #PFAS #ForeverChemicals #AgeOfStupid

Happy Mothers Day to all you Mums and thinking of the ones that are no longer with us. This was my Mums favourite flower - Forget-Me-Not or Myosotis. She loved gardening and inspired me with her love of nature. Miss you ❤️ #MothersDay #forgetmenot

Can we have a big shout-out for dandelions? These remarkable wildflowers offer a vital early food source for pollinators including bees & butterflies, and they support over 50 insect species. RT if you’re going to let them grow 🐝

I’m very sorry to report that Cambridgeshire County Council have approved the felling of 1000 ancient fruit trees within an orchard just outside #Cambridge for a new bus route to…get this…tackle climate change! 😖 Please continue to support Bonkers Busway Cambs. It’s not over yet theguardian.com/environment/20…

Good morning! Probably not the best day to be in the garden but here’s some lovely Echinacea that I planted to cheer you all up. Does anyone brave the rain to work in the garden? Show us your rainy garden photos! #FlowersOfTwitter

Plastic grass: “We were really surprised nobody had reported this before”…fibres accounted for 15% of plastic pieces larger than 5mm in the samples from within 1km of the shore. 🌊☠️ Huge amounts of plastic from artificial grass end up in the sea newscientist.com/article/238386…

Before and afters of my latest design project in Leytonstone. I loved working on this job as my client was so enthusiastic and excited about the whole thing. I can safely say she is over the moon with the final result! 😊 #GardeningX #GardeningTwitter

Quite convenient isn't it? Southern Water can't be tagged into photos! In my work, I walk along roads & look at trees, occasionally looking over bridges & this is what I often see (Westfield, E Sussex). This looks like pollution on a gross scale, am I right, or is this normal?
