The toy industry would have us believe if a product isn’t pink, girls won’t want it - a modern marketing strategy which has had far-reaching social consequences. All colours are AMAZING & there’s nothing wrong with loving pink. But everybody needs variety! #smashstereotypes

Gladys West's inspiring story caught our attention as a highly talented, black female #STEM professional in the 1960s. West worked for the US Military and developed mathematical modelling which proved essential to developing modern GPS #BlackHistoryMonth ow.ly/FFqE50BRY0S

Person of the day: Lady Mary Wortley Montagu. ACTUALLY the first person to introduce inoculation to Britain. Everyone always talks about Edward Jenner (who was awesome), but Lady Mary had a good 80 years head start on Jenner, but she's a woman, so we don't talk about it. 1/

Decided to do #Couchto5k starting after Christmas. Even using the gadget-y thing I bought ages ago to hold my phone on my arm. #fitternotfatter this lockdown. 🤞 Anyone else with the same goal?

A weekend with milder temperatures = do lots of washing and hang it on the line to dry 💨 ⛅️ It has been strangely uplifting to be out in the garden without hats, gloves and scarves.

Victoria Sullivan (@greenshedhr) 's Twitter Profile Photo

After getting carried away hanging washing out yesterday, I stood in my garden admiring these crocuses this afternoon. Spring is lovely, isn’t it? 🪴⛅️😁

It’s strangely satisfying to sit in a cafe again for the first time in ages, and make a few notes on things I’ve forgotten to do. 😁

It feels like Spring (no hats and scarves this morning) - what a lovely feeling. Do you reckon it’ll be winter again by the weekend??

Really like this campaign. Very clever strategy to target the bystanders. Good writing and performances. Can imagine this will have an impact and change behaviour.

I don't think people realize how surprising the capabilities of Large Language Models were to many experts, especially post-ChatGPT. This chart from McKinsey shows back in 2017 they thought that it would be 2050 before AI could write at the top 25% level. The new guess is 2024.

Mind already blown by Daniel Hulme talking about AI and humanity at the CIPD #festivalofwork, then inspired to do more about mental fitness by Dr Alex George. Great start to Day 1!

Victoria Sullivan (@greenshedhr) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Coming towards the end of day 1 at CIPD #festivalofwork and spotted some common themes from the excellent discussions with Dr Alex George, Stacey Dooley and Alex Mahon - the importance of listening and honesty & staying curious. CPD overload! Much to reflect on from today.
