fiercewireless.com/tech/ericsson-… New 5G core functions such as NWDAF, NEF are going to emerge as the tools for CSPs, and even enterprises, to derive more value from 5G systems. How and where they are leveraged will be something to watch.

However, CSPs remain slow to deploy 5G API gateways (e.g., NEF) so the question becomes, how long does it take for market to matriculate. 2, 3, or 5 years? Additional opportunity in Private 5G, but best outcome envisions CSPs being aggressive about SA 5G, and 5G API gateway use.

This one caught a lot of folks by surprise, but the industry needs a 5G platform for enterprises and developers to tap into the 5G's capabilities. In reality, a win for developers wanting to use 5G with Ericsson curating this ecosystem. Still, executing this vision will take time
